The future of marketing belongs to brands that don’t just automate — but connect with intent, intelligence, and empathy.”

In a world where customers expect relevance at every touchpoint, the real competitive edge isn’t in sending more campaigns — it’s in crafting experiences that

feel personal, thoughtful, and genuinely value-adding

Recently, we had the opportunity to collaborate with the Southco team to reimagine how Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) could power deeper, more human-centric customer engagement. Through open conversations, shared observations, and clarity on the "what good looks like," we aligned on a core aim:

to evolve their SFMC ecosystem into a smarter, scalable, and customer-first engagement engine.

This is where our team at Envision stepped in — not to overhaul, but to enhance, elevate, and unlock what’s possible.

https://www.envisionsfc.com/case-studies/southco-salesforce/

Phase I: Building a Strong, Smart & Sustainable Foundation

Personalization That Speaks Their Language

Introducing multi-lingual, dynamic email templates so every customer feels understood — starting with the language they connect with most.

Journeys That Adapt to Real Human Behavior

Moving beyond linear flows to behaviour-led, responsive journeys that adjust based on engagement, intent, and customer signals — creating relevance in real time.

Deliverability with Integrity

Implementing smart suppression to reduce repeated hard-bounces, protect sender reputation, and respect inboxes — because trust compounds with every send.

Turning Web Interactions into Insightful Data

Enabling clean, automated data capture from website forms into SFMC with validation, mapping, and notifications — ensuring teams act fast, informed, and confidently.

Empowering Teams Through the Right Access

Setting thoughtful role-based permissions for creators, campaign builders, and admins — allowing agility, creativity, and governance to co-exist seamlessly.

Phase II: Making Marketing More Intelligent, Experimental & Multi-Channel

A/B Testing as a Culture, Not a Checkbox

Helping the team build a habit of experimentation — where each test fuels insight, and each insight refines the next campaign.

AI-Enhanced Decision Making with Einstein

Infusing predictive intelligence for smarter content, sharper segmentation, and better engagement forecasting — shifting from guesswork to guided clarity.

Data That Moves Without Manual Effort

Automating data imports via SFTP so marketing and data teams stay focused on strategy, not spreadsheets.

Engaging Beyond Email with Push + SMS

Expanding into mobile channels to meet customers where they already are — with timely, relevant, and respectful touchpoints that amplify impact.

This isn’t just a Marketing Cloud upgrade — it’s a mindset shift.

From campaigns to

experiences

From sending to

listening

From automation to

connection

We’re energised by the meaningful progress so far and even more excited about what lies ahead as we continue evolving alongside the Southco

team — with intention, innovation, and a shared vision for customer-first marketing.

More reflections, learnings, and transformation stories coming soon. Stay tuned.

I am working on an implementation of Salesforce Pro Suite, which includes the ability to create payment links using Salesforce Pay Now. Based on the documentation, it appears that Stripe is the only supported Payment Gateway to use with Pay Now, but my client uses a different gateway (Square). Does anyone know if other payment gateways are supported, or is Stripe the only option for Pay Now?

For any others that run into this question, turns out that not only is Stripe the only supported gateway, you must create a new Stripe account during the setup process and cannot use an existing one. Hopefully that will change in future releases.

Solving Commerce Challenges with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC)

As Salesforce partners, we constantly seek to deliver real value by addressing the core challenges faced by businesses in today’s commerce environment. Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) stands out as a comprehensive platform for resolving many of these challenges. Here are five common pain points and how SFCC can provide effective solutions:

1. Lack of Unified Customer Experience

Many businesses struggle to provide a personalized and consistent customer experience across multiple channels due to disjointed data. SFCC’s use of Einstein AI ensures personalized product recommendations and adaptable content across all touchpoints, consolidating data from e-commerce, mobile, and physical retail for a seamless experience.

Key Takeaway for Partners: Maximize SFCC’s personalization features by integrating additional Salesforce tools like Marketing Cloud. Implement A/B testing strategies to measure the effectiveness of personalized recommendations and optimize customer interactions.

2. Complex Integrations

Integrating various systems, such as CRM, ERP, and order management, can often lead to operational inefficiencies and data silos. SFCC’s API-centric design simplifies these integrations, facilitating seamless data exchange across platforms and systems. The platform’s compatibility within the Salesforce ecosystem enables businesses to centralize operations efficiently.

Key Takeaway for Partners: Leverage MuleSoft’s Anypoint Platform to streamline integrations and ensure smooth data flow. Regularly audit integration processes to catch and resolve potential issues early, maintaining operational efficiency.

3. Scalability Challenges

During peak seasons or promotional events, businesses often struggle to manage surges in website traffic, which can lead to performance degradation or downtime. SFCC’s cloud-based infrastructure is designed to scale automatically, ensuring optimal performance even during high-traffic periods.

Key Takeaway for Partners: Guide clients through periodic stress tests to assess load capacity and ensure their infrastructure is ready for high-demand scenarios. Implementing a CDN can further enhance performance by distributing content globally and reducing server load.

4. Managing Global Commerce Complexities

Expanding into international markets brings challenges such as managing multiple currencies, languages, and local regulations. SFCC streamlines global commerce operations by offering built-in support for these complexities, enabling businesses to deliver localized experiences with ease.

Key Takeaway for Partners: Utilize SFCC’s multi-site management tools to tailor experiences for different regions while maintaining compliance with local regulations. Analyze regional performance metrics to refine and optimize global strategies for continued success.

5. Limited Mobile Commerce Capabilities

As mobile commerce grows, businesses that don’t optimize for mobile risk losing a significant portion of their audience. SFCC’s mobile-first approach, including its Progressive Web Application (PWA) kit, provides a seamless mobile experience, ensuring businesses can engage customers on any device.

Key Takeaway for Partners: Encourage regular updates to the PWA to enhance engagement features, such as personalized push notifications. Continuously monitor and optimize mobile site performance, focusing on load times and user engagement.

Salesforce Commerce Cloud addresses these critical pain points with solutions that enable businesses to provide exceptional customer experiences and streamline operations. As Salesforce partners, we play a pivotal role in helping clients leverage the full potential of SFCC to solve complex commerce challenges and unlock growth opportunities.

Here we are try to implement that we Sync the catalog products from SFCC to Whatsapp Business though Whatsapp APIs but there is an No any specific APIs that they provided to access out SFCC impex location in there document they said we can use public location to import the data.

we needed the solution from SFCC side that we can able to access the SFCC impex location without username and password from there APIs, why that is because the WhatsApp provided an APIs that doesn't have any parameter to pass username and password.

Hi all!

I use a custom attribute (e.g. slug) as the ID when building a category URL.

Can some one suggest a solution or is it possible to implement a case where custom.slug is empty, then the default value would be displayName.

This rule does not work.

[ category-path, [ attribute, custom.slug, displayName ] , / ]

Thank you!
