Now Available: the Salesforce+ Dreamforce 24 Developer Collection

Didn't attend #Dreamforce2024 in person? That's ok, because you can catch up on all the fantastic innovations for developers on Salesforce+!

Principal Developer Advocate @Alba Rivas and I led the Developer track at #DF24 and the sessions were absolutely incredible. Presented by expert community members and Salesforce Product Managers, there was something for every developer. Many of these sessions were recorded, and you can now catch up at your leisure with all the hot topics: #AI, #API, #Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), #LLM, Scale Center, #LWC, #Apex, ApexGuru, #Code Analyzer and lots more!

Check it out here.

Code Analyzer 4 - Generally Available

I’m happy to announce the general availability of Code Analyzer 4!

It includes significant upgrades to all of our engines, such as PMD v7, ESlint v7 and RetireJS v4. These changes make it much easier for you to scan Apex and LWC code that contain the very latest features.

Code Analyzer is deeply embedded in our Developer Experience, so you can use it from the CLI, from the IDE and from CI/CD (with any tool, including using our own GitHub Action + DevOps Center!).

Stay tuned as we slowly lift the veil on Code Analyzer 5 later this year!

@Roopa Mohan Hi Roopa, Thank You for the session. I am very excited to use the Salesforce code analyzer. I was trying to run the scanner for all the rules in my VS code and getting the below response mostly for all classes.

Command: sfdx scanner:run --format xml --target <filename>

Response: "The specified target wasn't processed by any engines. Use the --engine parameter to select a different engine or specify a different target. Specified target: "

Kindly advice on what am I missing. Thanks once again.
