Building Supercharged Agents with Heroku and Agentforce

Agentforce is the latest new AI-powered experience from Salesforce, featuring prebuilt agents designed for various roles in Customer 360, such as sales and service across industries. Agentforce uses predefined actions to understand user questions, perform tasks, and even act on behalf of users. For unique business needs, developers can create custom actions using code or low-code tools.

If the data resides within Salesforce and the tasks are computationally supportive, developers can leverage Apex or Flow. For more complex, compute-intensive requirements or the ability to access open source libraries that let you create exciting new dynamic content, Heroku custom actions written in various programming languages can also be leveraged - including now .NET

We have been busy creating some great resources to help you explore the world of building Agentforce custom actions with Heroku:

This is just the start of finding new ways for Heroku to supercharge Salesforce apps and development! With our upcoming Heroku Integration feature its going to get even easier to integrate your low code, code and events. Keep an eye on this thread and check out our Heroku Blog for even more exciting developments in the world of Heroku!

My bulk csv file has 200 users, getting this error from Workbench when attempting to insert. Errors were thrown when data was incorrect, such as duplicate data, but now that all errors have been fixed it gets stuck on loading and shows this page every time.

Use another tool and reduce your batch sizes and threads so the error can be isolated to a smaller chunk

Businesses of all sizes create web applications to surface data, join information, and deliver insights. When built in traditional virtual environments, these apps require extensive devops and infrastructure management. These essential tasks keep the business running seamlessly and securely, but they also consume valuable time that could be used to develop applications. Heroku has dominated the PaaS market since its inception because it removes the burden of devops and infrastructure management. With Heroku, developers can focus on building applications that drive business value.

Join Ben Rust, Heroku Senior Technical Architect, to learn more about Heroku and to experience a live demo. In this session we will cover:

  • Heroku’s container approach built on AWS and commitment to Cloud Native
  • The available programming languages and data stores leveraged by Heroku customers
  • Nuanced controls and managing application fleets from the Heroku CI/CD
  • Leveraging Heroku Connect for a bi-directional sync between Salesforce and other data stores
  • Private Spaces and compliance controls
  • A demo with live Q&A showing how easy it is to launch your first app
  • Live Q&A

I am new in this area, so wanted to understand because as per documentation it seems we can do data synchronisation to salesforce so it is full data sync and not selective.

In case I need a selective data sync then do I need to build an application on top of postgres to do the filtering and then create records in SF using PE for example but then we can't use Heroku connect?

Thank you in advance for your response.

Regards

Hi all, I am an admin working with external developers who set up Heroku connect for a custom tool our students use. In December, we started receiving "Streaming Error Encountered" messages like the one below for both our full copy and production connections. I don't know that it matters, but the vast majority of errors seem to be happening during non-working hours for out local team.

Any tips on where to start an investigation for what is causing this?

"There was a problem connecting to the Salesforce push topic for the mapping 'Contact' and Connect is no longer receiving streaming events. Changes are only detected according to the configured poll frequency."
