Embed a Looker Dashboard onto Salesforce

Hi,  

 

I would like to know if we can embed a External Dashboard into Salesforce. We have a looker dashboard that sources data from multiple places. How do I expose  per account on SFDC or a Wholistic view. Or Should I have recreate all in CRM Analytics?

    I’d keep Looker if the dashboard is already built and working. Recreating everything in CRM Analytics feels unnecessary unless there’s a specific Salesforce requirement for it.  

     

    Another route we’ve used is bringing Salesforce data into Looker Studio through Skyvia (https://skyvia.com/data-integration/analyze-salesforce-with-looker-studio), especially when the reporting already combines data from several places. For the per account view though, I’d still first see if you can pass the Account ID into the embedded dashboard as a filter.

Does Agentforce Analytics in Agentforce Studio require a Data Cloud license

We are evaluating Agentforce Analytics in Agentforce Studio and would like to understand the licensing requirements. Is a Data Cloud license

required to use Agentforce Analytics, or can it be used with standard Agentforce licenses? If Data Cloud is required, which specific Data Cloud permissions, editions, or features are needed?

    It would be helpful to know whether standard Agentforce licensing covers the basic analytics features or if Data Cloud is required. 

    A clear breakdown of the required edition, permissions, and specific Data Cloud features would make the licensing decision much easier.

Dataflow: How to create a date field - 6 months prior

Hello, 

I'm currently trying to create a date field in a dataflow to calculate the month end date 6 months prior to another field. For example: 

 

Existing_Date_Field

= 2026-06-30 

Desired_Result

= 2025-12-31 

 

I'm struggling to find a combination of functions that gets me this result. Has anyone tried to do something similar and could you share your SAQL expression?

    Posting a solution incase anyone is trying to solve the same issue in the future. It may not be the most simplified solution, but it does give the correct results:

CRM Analytics currency conversion behaving differently for custom objects.

Hi everyone,    I’m stuck on a currency conversion issue in Salesforce CRM Analytics and could use some help debugging it.    I have a custom Salesforce object with a Total Price field of type Currency. The records also have different CurrencyIsoCode values.    When I bring this object into CRM Analytics, CRMA automatically converts the Total Price values into our organization’s currency, which is EUR.    The problem is that the converted values have a lot of variance compared to what I expect.    My assumption is that CRMA should be using the latest exchange rates from either the DatedConversionRate object or the CurrencyType object, depending on how the currency conversion is configured.    What makes this confusing is that I also have the standard Opportunity object in CRMA. The currency conversion there looks correct and is much closer to the expected values.    So I’m trying to understand:    How exactly does CRM Analytics perform currency conversion for custom objects?    Which exchange rate does it use — CurrencyType, DatedConversionRate, or something else?    Does the behavior differ between standard objects like Opportunity and custom objects?    Is there anything specific I need to configure in the dataset/recipe to make sure the correct exchange rate is being applied?    What would be the best way to debug where the incorrect conversion is happening?    I’ve already compared the original Total Price, CurrencyIsoCode, and the expected exchange rates, but I’m still unable to figure out why the custom object conversion is so different from Opportunity.    Any pointers on where to look would be really helpful!

Is it possible to split a string and duplicate other columns in Recipe or Dataflow?

    Salesforce has not and is not considering to set CRM Analytics to End-of-Life.

    Yes, there are rumors in the market - they are simply wrong.

"A Recipe Must Specify a Dataflow" Change Set Error

Hi, everyone-- 

 

We are trying to move some CRMA assets from our DEV to our TEST environments and we are getting the following error

A Recipe Must Specify a Dataflow. 

 

 

Does anyone know what this error means?  We are completely perplexed (and frustrated) because our recipes are independent of dataflows and we want to be able to move our CRMA assets between environments via change sets. 

 

Any guidance or experience would be greatly appreicated.

CRM Analytics – Best Chart to Visualise Case Lifecycle Across Overlapping Phases

 Hi Salesforce Community,  

 

I am working on a CRM Analytics dashboard to visualise the lifecycle of cases across 6 defined phases based on asset delivery and warranty dates.  

 

BACKGROUND: We have cases linked to assets.  

Each asset has: -  

A Delivery Date -  

A Warranty Start Date -  

A Warranty End Date  

We have defined 6 phases based on when a case was created relative to these dates:  

Phase 1 – Cases created before Delivery Date  

Phase 2 – Cases created before Delivery Date but still open at Delivery Date  

Phase 3 – Cases created between Delivery Date and Warranty Start Date  

Phase 4 – Cases created before Warranty Start Date but still open at Warranty Start Date  

Phase 5 – Cases created between Warranty Start Date and Warranty End Date  

Phase 6 – Cases created during warranty period but still open after Warranty End Date THE  

 

CHALLENGE: The phases are designed to show the flow of unresolved cases from one phase to the next:  

- A case created in Phase 1 that remains unresolved at delivery also appears in Phase 2  

- A case created in Phase 3 that remains unresolved at warranty start also appears in Phase 4  

- A case created in Phase 5 that remains unresolved at warranty end also appears in Phase 6  

 

This means one case can legitimately belong to TWO phases  

 

-it is not a data quality issue, it is by design.  

 

WHAT WE WANT TO SHOW:  

 We want to visualise:  

1. How many cases were created in each phase  

2. How many of those cases were handed over (still open) to the next phase  

3. The relationship between paired phases (1→2, 3→4, 5→6)  

 

QUESTIONS: 1. Is there a recommended chart type in CRM Analytics that can show this kind of phase flow or handover between stages? 

I really wanted to use Funnel chart in my case i have to use different formulas. and in because one case case be in phase 1 and Phase 2.

   

 2. Would a Sankey chart or waterfall chart be possible in CRM Analytics? or better chart can be used??

    I'd use a sankey chart to show the flow between stages. The main challenge will be to calculate the status of the cases at creation time and at the current time to define the two (different) phases per case.
